Sima Solutions was IBM’s only business partner with the WebSphere expertise capable of contributing a team member to IBM’s five-member CoE, which assisted the eBay team in architecting, implementing, deploying and managing their mission-critical next-generation trading platform.
Sima Solutions’ WebSphere architect provided the J2EE technical lead for a team of Epicor and IBM developers, designing a service-oriented architecture comprising J2EE-based web services, which integrated with existing .NET-based web services, and supplied the back-end functionality for the .NET-based user interface.
Sima Solutions used WebSphere expertise in the following areas: WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal Server, WebSphere Personalization Server and WebSphere MQ, where Sima Solutions’ consultants were responsible for the analysis and design phase along with development and maintenance.
Sima Solutions provided WebSphere consultants who supplied expertise in WebSphere development toolset, Application Server and MQ, as well as J2EE and web services architecture, and implementation troubleshooting and best practices.
IBM looked toward Sima Solutions to provide the expertise needed to support the development installation, configuration and customization of WebSphere Commerce.
